How to Stay In-Vogue Without the Hassle

In today’s fast-moving fashion arena, hairstyle fads shift without warning. A ‘do considered exciting and trendy today, may soon develop into ancient and boring flair by the month’s end.

Consequently, going for bi-monthly style adjustments is not only expensive, but it also can be damaging on a woman’s precious locks.

So, what choices are out here for people who want to stay in-vogue vigilantly without having to break the bank to get there?

Think clip-in hair extensions; these little miracles allow folks to flaunt new looks with no full-makeover obligation necessary.

Today’s pro-attitude on extensions is more about providing the client with lock opulence and flexibility rather than just extending her existing hair length.

Hence, clip-on extensions in 2016 not only add gorgeous tress-volume, but they also allow women to achieve contemporary-mode changes devoid of hair-damaging chemicals.

And guess what? People who go for clip-on extensions won’t have to purchase new ones each month to stay in vogue….

Month One: Own Pop-Star Hair

Ever wonder how those red carpet celebrities change their hair mode so quickly in between award ceremonies? Believe it or not, clip-in hair pieces play a big role in a superstar’s hairstyle.

Clip-on hair extensions and some pro styling prep with hair product facilitate adorable-safe changes, as “fashion weeks” around the world decide which hairstyles are in and which ones are out.

Here’s a perk for ya’;transforming your extensions into a new look overnight may only call for your stylist to add some volumizing spray and mousse to get them into pop-star vogue, which is a much more affordable and easier solution then having to endure a full makeover.

Month Two: Add Some Coloring

Your stylist can also hand paint your human hair extensions with color; which can transform your entire look.

Just image this, month two has arrived and sun-kissed hair color is in; with a little lightening or darkening at the ends, a clip-on extension owner can quickly fly into mainstream without a hassle.

Coloring these extensions takes less than an hour to perform, and the new change in no way damages the existing locks.

Month Three: Go for the Curls

Next, think waves! Another month has passed, and everyone on the red carpet has curls.

Well, no problem for the clip-on. Your stylist can just pass an iron over them with a bit of product, and you’ll be going home with some 2016 S-shaped waves.

Or maybe you live near the ocean and want to show off some beachy waves during the summertime. Hollywood stars are famous for sporting these loose curls, but what a lot of folks don’t know is that they’re using the same clip-on extensions that were straight just a few months ago.

Three Diverse Hair Straightening Solutions For 2016

Everyone loves curly hair, but let’s get one thing straight (no pun intended); there are millions of women out there who are tired of their disobedient waves and long for natural-looking, straight locks.

It’s not that these folks detest their hair’s innate texture; they simply find it tough to control their tight curls hair each day.

Nowadays, changing a hair’s texture is an uncomplicated task when using chemical solutions and applying specialized instruments, correctly, to get the job done.

So, let’s talk this week about the difference between three hair straightening game changers; hair re-bonding, hair straightening and hair smoothening.

fun hair photoHair Re-bonding:

Re-bonding the mane requires a special modus operandi for straightening the hair. It’s a permanent way out for women with substantial “out-of-control” curls or disorderly waves.

When sitting in the chair for this procedure, the client can expect her locks to take on a chemical, bond-breaking bath. The compounds in a re-bonding wash penetrate different lock layers and get them ready for texture re-arrangement via styling tools, later.

The entire procedure is high maintenance, which means that it can take a pro-stylist over five hours to complete. A re-bonding treatment will also last until your hair grows out.

Heat Straightening:

Heat straightening is hair re-bonding without the chemicals.

Here, the pro-stylist uses instrument heat from flat irons, blow dryers and other pro-tools to make the hair seem straighter.

Aesthetic hair straightening solutions may also include the usage of safe relaxing agents found in today’s specialized shampoo and conditioners.

Just remember, this hair straightening procedure is only a temporary fix, which is contrary to the permanent perks found in re-bonding.

Hair Smoothening:

Hair smoothening will work for folks with any hair texture (wavy, curly or straight) that holds unmanageable frizz.

Hence, the pro-stylist’s task, here, will be to stabilize the frizz and even it out for more controllable, silky-straight hair.

Hair smoothening requires a protein wash to eliminate frizz; the smoothening proteins employed in this straightening approach damage the hair less, when weighing it against re-bonding chemicals and heat straightening solutions.

If applied correctly, a professional hair smoothening job can last up to five months; the end result also produces more natural-looking tresses.

So, this is certainly the way to go, if you are searching for soft and shiny texture that can fool people into thinking that it’s your natural-born hair.

And there you have it! Remember to ask your stylist about all the particulars on any of the three straightening procedures mentioned above to make certain that you’ll choose the option which will work best for you.

How to Protect Your Expensive Style from The Weather

So, what is a woman to do on bad-weather days? Everyone complains about the time it takes to get their hairstyles together, but what really sucks is when it all falls apart as soon as you step out of the house in bad weather.

Let’s talk about weatherproofing your hair for those wintry, wet and windy days by exploring simple and cute styles that are awfully easy to throw together and can suit everyone!

rain photoFor Wind: Chaotic Side Braids

Women adore the chaotic side braid because the style is both wind resistant and so easy pull off; this look will also turn some heads by sending out boho-fun vibes, and people will think that you put a lot of effort into it.

Start with freshly washed hair for best results–touch-dry the locks, and add a little pro-texturizing product to bring out your hair’s innate detail. Next, make your side part, and flank your hair to the shoulder. Don’t be neat; this tress is all about the messy look!

Liberally braid your hair in concert, and let those free strands instinctively fly-away, which is part of this look. Secure the braid with clear bands, placed few inches from the end. Finally, pull the braid’s side knots to create a voluminous and chaotic impression.

The style will keep throughout the day, and even when those tiny strands come loose in intense windy weather, they will just add more personality to your look!

For Snow: Beanie-Knitted Bonnets

Beanie-knitted bonnets or crochet hats come in handy on those frigid, dry snowy days, which cause brittle hair. Your cap will not only protect your mane from the nature’s elements, but it will also insert a serious style-attack to your look.

Here, you can fashion your hair any way you like; haul it into a short bun; or create a flank-fishtail braid; or let the mane hang loose in large waves. The trick is to make sure to rub a little hair serum into the mane before putting on your stylish beanie, which help lock in plenty of moisture.

Most pro-stylist believe that loose waves work best when sporting a beanie cap because the subtle curls produce an alluring measure to this attractive, youthful style. And when the weather gets unusually crazy, you can just tie your hair into a twist, and slip it under the beanie, which is another perk that comes with this weatherproofing safeguard. Trust me; you’ll still look super charming even with your locks tucked away!

For Light Rain: Shabby Top Knots

The topknot is a just a typical high bun; but this stylish-defense is an untidy, comfortable edition that can resist the escaping light rain from an umbrella’s cover. To acquire this weatherproofing fashion, just pass your fingers through the mane, and secure the locks into a ponytail at the top. Now, don’t brush it because that’ll make the tresses too smooth to work with, which is contrary to what this style is about!

Next, add in a few beads of mousse with your palms to give the hair a slight scruffy texture. If find that your locks are too smooth for this casual image, you can blow-dry the mane upside down to add consistency.

Lastly, assemble the hair with slack, and twirl it around the base of the ponytail–don’t be too neat! Also, secure the knot with bobby-pins to keep everything in place!

Going Granny Gray: The Color Trend That’s So Hot Right Now

That’s right; granny hair color is in! Maybe, at this moment, you’re you imagining an elderly, sweet, mature woman who some men might not think as sexy? Well, you’re in for a shocker; contemporary stylists around the nation are making “gray” this season’s hottest hue.

grey hair photo

Today’s Granny hair is avant-garde, edgy and exceptionally modish. This means is that young women can now achieve those youthful ‘silver fox’ facades that were previously reserved only for men.

You may be asking yourself, how could gray hair possibly be a good thing? I mean shouldn’t most people try to cover their white locks, instead of actually adding them to the mane?

Nope, because we are not talking, here, about a monotonous, comatose, monochrome hue; we’re referring to an authoritative and brilliant, ready-to-party shade that’s all about individual style.

Moreover, if you’re naturally gray, this could be your time to shine, since more and more young women are choosing to hit the silver-hue trend. This means mature women can look younger just by being a little creative like opting for an inclusive, hoary wash or choosing silver ascents that range between different tones of sandstone and whitish moonlight.

Why Today’s Young Women Go Granny

There are a lot of reasons to adore 2016’s hottest hair color movement.

To begin with, it’s astonishingly chic. Secondly, the hue gives off such an unapologetically, bold vibe that flaunts confidence all over the place. Singer, Nicole Ritchie, told E-Magazine in an interview that she went granny-gray to obtain a “visibly-arresting” image that was more than just visual eye-candy; she wanted a color to add dimension to her personality as well.

Fashion celebrity, Kelly Osbourne, added to Ritchie’s initiative in a March, Vogue-Online chat, saying that when a person chooses to go gray, they are “clearly breaking from tradition” and “are not looking for a color that allows them to yield to the status quo.”

Why Gray Works Kindly

Hair coloring is all about choosing tones that complement skin tone, which is why granny-gray succeeds because this color is about as natural and universal as it gets.

A gray hue can shine well by itself in a solid, single color bathe, or in a gradient, granny-ombre or with other tones; that’s how versatile this new color-craze is. Trendsetters can also adjoin pastel strands (lilac, insipid peach, pink) to the silver hue, or they can even go for the biggest color trend this year: gray-and-rainbow pastel locks!

So, there you have it…granny gray in a nutshell. This new hair movement proves how something that’s been considered a big “no-way” like-since, forever, can unexpectedly become the quintessence of beauty and provocation.

In beauty school, we learn to tell our clients not to worry when setting their own rules. An on that note, my advise to you gray-ers out there is this: Gray was gorgeous before it became chic, and it will still be beautiful even when the granny-gray trend fades away.

Is It Time For A Makeover?

Whether you’ve owned the same hairstyle for years or just recently strived for something new; it may be time for a change. So the question remains…when should I adjust my aura?

Let’s see……

fashion photo• Your style from three years ago has become in-vogue again.
• It’s just easier to pull back your hair.
• Styling everyday is boring.
• Your color looks mousey, uninteresting, and comatose
• No one tells you anymore that your hairstyle rocks.
• You find yourself desiring other people’s cuts.
• You could use a self-esteem pick-me-up.
• You’ve just landed a new job, lost weight, or are heading to a new town.

Sound familiar? Well then it may be time for a change, and here is how to do it…..

FIRST: Find a Professional

You’ll want to pick a hairstylist that you can trust when changing your image. Taking on a new look demands that you put your individuality into the hands of another person. Ask your neighbors, friends, co-workers, or relatives, who walk around with great hair, which professional they use. You can even politely ask a stranger with amazing hair who her stylist is, if you’re brave enough, or seek recommendations online.

SECOND: Know Your Boundaries

When sitting in a new chair for a makeover, whether you’re redoing your color, your cut, or both, it’s important to know what you want, and to know what your limits are. Check out a few hairstyles, beforehand, print them, and take them with you to your appointment. A picture can really speak a thousand words.

However, it is important to allow your hairstylist that creative freedom to offer you suggestions, but make sure that the end results is a new style that you just love.

Just some things to think about:

• New Color – face brightening, fresh new look.
• Short Hair – sexy, feminine, and romantic.
• Bangs – make sure you like ‘em.
• Bobs – edgy, polished and easy to style.
• Layers – can frame the face in a complimentary way.
• Maintenance – could mean the difference between receiving a makeover you love and something you dislike (regular cut and color maintenance is a must-do).

LASTLY: Own Your New Updated Look

Flaunting a new image around town can be a shocking experience, especially if you’ve held the same hairstyle for ages. Own your unique makeover, beginning by noticing the favorable ascetics of your fresh style. Next, take pleasure in your new, bright look; show it off; have fun with it; and let your trendy hairstyle arouse new confidence in yourself.

Hair Texture, The Rules, And How To Break Them

Hair texture is the most important factor when it comes to choosing a fresh hairstyle; it’s even more important than the face shape. Your hair’s thickness and consistency will affect the cut’s overall design, how short tresses can be trimmed, and how your stylist will ultimately profile your locks.

hair texture photo

But, just as there rules to obtaining the perfect haircut, there are always those awesome rule breakers. In fact, the most famous hairstyles hardly ever follow those pesky hair texture “statutes”.

Let’s check out some hair texture rules and ways in which women can break them.

Hair Textures

Six hair textures are found on humans:

• Thin
• Straight
• Wavy
• Coarse
• Frizzy
• Curly

A woman can own any combination of these textures (i.e. straight hair that frizzes, or thin hair that’s also curly). Most pro-stylist are trained to sort out and evaluate your hair’s situation through touch and watching how strands move.

So, next time you are in the chair, ask your stylist about what kind of hair texture you own; a girl should always have this information handy when choosing a new haircut and when researching on how to restore the ‘do hair at home.

Curly Hair

Rule: The pros will tell you that curly hair requires length to hold the waves down, otherwise the ‘do will just pouf up.

Rule Breaker: You can break the “go-long” rule, if you are willing to let your curly hair to pop out all over the place. Think Curly-Sue. This look is supple, sleek and eye-pleasing, and the image generally speaks about a woman’s personality. Keep in mind that shy women should not engage in this rule breaker, since this little-hipster style is only for the independent girl.

Fine Hair

Rule: Just like curly hair needs the length, fine hair needs to be shorter in order to keep its body; hence, long, thin locks will normally appear unexciting and dead.

Rule Breaker: Women with definite face shapes look incredible with lengthy hair, regardless of the hair’s texture. Round and square faces, especially, can pull off some amazing long hairstyles. This is because longer tresses seem to straighten out wider face shapes. However, if you own a long face, don’t worry; you can still break the rules by keeping the cut at no more than shoulder’s length.

Coarse, Wavy and Frizzy

Rule: Everyone loves bangs, but if you own curly, coarse and/or frizzy hair, you probably feel left out of the bang-craze. It’s an age-old styling rule that tells us bangs will only work on straight or fine hair, but never on curly hair (unless of course you’re willing to chemically treat your hair, or use an iron to straighten your bangs out every day–ouch!)

Rule Breaker: Ask your stylist for some for layered, side-swept bangs. Here, the shortest layer should touch at your ear, and make sure those wavy bangs are cut only when they’re completely dry. Curls tend to shrivel up when they are not wet, and what you don’t want are short wavy frizzes popping out from your hairline when the layered-bangs are fully dehydrated.

Chic Hairstyles For The 2016 Bridesmaid

Wedding season is in full swing, now; with that being said, we all know that weddings are all about the bride, but what about the bridesmaids? They still need to look good too, right?

braids photo

If you’re scheduled to accompany one of your girlfriends to the alter this summer, remember that looking lovely on the bride’s big day is one of the most important things you can do for her—all those guests, all those pictures!

So, when you’re choosing the hairstyle for your best friend’s wedding, it’s important to remember that the guys should notice your tresses, but not enough to take the attention away from the bride’s spectacular locks.

Let’s take a 2015-peek at some celebrated bridesmaid hairstyles that will have you standing in style next to your girlfriend when she says, “I Do.”

Side Swept

Side swept curls are effortless to execute, but they are also very effective because the bridesmaid attaches a touch of old-Hollywood glamour to the party. So, if the wave-look is it for you, whether it’s traditional or lax, just be sure to keep them elegant by sweeping the curls to the side. The side swept also matches a one-shoulder dress perfectly.

Milkmaid Updo

Your stylist can create this discrete updo by forming two milkmaid braids, teasing the hair, and then adding a few bobby pins to keep the style in shape all day long. You can also go “risqué” by loosening a few tendrils around the face and by adding a flower behind the ear.

Ponytail Twist

Instead of going for the bun think—bundle. Bridesmaids late for the wedding can make a fast ponytail twist by stuffing the tail end into the hair closest to the neck; then comes the bobby-pins, the tuck-in, and the hairspray. This chic ‘do is much easier than it looks, and it’s certainly less complicated than it sounds.

Fancy Bun

Girls with medium-length hair, relax! A sophisticated fancy bun will make everyone at the party think that you’ve got more length, and you won’t have to worry about sections sticking out everywhere, which usually accompanies tight braids. Just have your pro-stylist twirl tiny strands of your hair around the bun, and the frizz will simply disappear.

Half Up and Half Down

Half up-half down hair is a versatile look that works for both formal and casual dresses. This style is one of the elegant options for bridesmaids’ hair; and it will complement the reception too because hair is kept off the face without losing its graceful and romantic feel.

Style Tips For Five Different Faces

No matter what your face shape is–circular, oval, rectangle, heart-shaped or long–there will be haircuts that will look better on you than others (unless you’re an oval, in which case every cut will look good).

A flattering hairstyle is one that creates the impression that you own an impeccable oval face. Now, there are some hairstyles that help make circular faces seem longer; allow long faces to appear wider; make large jaws disappear; and cause bulky foreheads and double chins to fade away.

Figuring out a client’s face shape is the name of the game, and it is what we pro-stylist learn in our ascetic classes at cosmo school, since it’s imperative to know a person’s face shape in order to pull off a celebrity haircut.

shapes photo

Why the long face…?

The long-face gal really needs to avoid lengthy hair cuts. With that said, a woman with a long face can pull off a long cut, if their stylist properly layers the extended locks to embrace the cheekbones and the chin. Another way to go is adding waves to the tresses because the extra-volume will attach girth to the edges of a long face, which forces the overall profile to appear wider.

I-Heart You …

Pointy chins are a trademark feature on women with heart-shaped faces (Reese Witherspoon). Most stylists will recommend to gals with this face shape some unique hairstyles that can defer attention to the eyes and cheekbones instead of the chin.

Ellpticism is not a problem…

Oval faces often look good with every hairstyle, but some elliptical faces can appear a bit long, which is why forming a trendy bun or a teased up-do can help with problematic oval visuals. Also, remember that blunt cuts are a big no-no for women with thick or curly hair texture who own an oval-long visual; unless, of course they are willing pulling off a triangular likeness.

Round and round we go…

Round faces are close to the perfect oval profile that every stylist shoots for; however, a short-curly or crimped hairstyle can make a circular silhouette appear rounder. The best option for a gal with a circular shadow would be to choose a cut that allows the tresses to strike the face just below the chin or longer.

Don’t be a square…

The rectangular-faced client seems to be the most difficult for a pro stylist to troubleshoot. This is because of the strong, angular jaw that usually accompanies this profile, which is what needs to be carefully de-emphasized. Texture is the solution, here, in the form of adding swirls or uneven ends to the overall image.

Balayage vs. Foiling…Which Is For Me?

Balayage hair color is one of the hottest hair color trends going into 2016. This means that most women this winter will be asking their stylist to add some faultless, sun-kissed highlights to their locks, which can be perfectly executed without foils. However, there are some gals out there that are completely “foil-loyal.”

hair photo

Let’s get the 411 on the differences between foiling and balayage.

Balayage, a.k.a “hair painting,” allows stylish gals to place color wherever she chooses, and it’s also an excellent choice for coloring grays because the technique only tints a few gray strands rather than coloring the entire head. Here, the stylist basically paints color with great control onto thick hair segments to lighten them, which is sometimes referred to as “sweeping” because the colorist uses a sweeping movement when applying the hues.

Foiling requires wrapping the hair square sections (remember that heads are round), which is why foiling only works well under certain circumstances.

What should I choose, balayage or traditional foil highlights?

Balayage works when you are a first time highlight client, who specifically is looking for exceptionally-faint highlights. Also, balayage produces the most natural finish on clients who hold very short hair that can get out of control.

Foiling forces color on to the fine hairs at the mane line. For this reason, its works best on women who have already had their hair colored, say about a month ago, and notice that dark roots or dark shadows at the cuticles are making their overall look appear unnatural.

Can someone who has had foiling done be candidates for balayage?

Some women think that balayage erases a perfectly executed coloring job. This is not true; most pro-stylists can create unique hues over well done foiling jobs, which make those clients perfect candidates for balayage because the end result can produce some one one-of-a-kind summer streaks that a girl can write home about.

Is balayage less expensive than foiling?

Balayage highlighting is less tedious and time-consuming than foiling…so it should be less expensive–right? Well, that depends; some stylist can foil with their eyes closed, while others feel that balayage is far more time consuming than foiling. The answer is…pricing varies because it really depends upon the expertise of your colorist and/or on the head of hair the stylist has to work with. Coloring is far more complicated, today, than it was twenty years ago. So, pricing really is determined on a case-by-case basis.

Poker-Straight Hair Makes A Comeback

This season’s autumn catwalks sported a collection of fantastic innovative hair trends, and the new season also saw a return of poker-straight hair with center partings, which we believe are going to be the next must-have cuts going into the winter season.

Gals with straight hair can be the envy of the party, having said that, it looks like the 90s-style, poker-straight hair will be the remedy for 2016 hair straightening. Whether the silky tresses are slicked back into a ponytail with no wisps of hair showing or parted in the middle and worn loose, poker-straight hair is super easy to pull off.

hair photoTake a look at what the stars are doing…

Katie Holmes’ middle-parted, straight hair may work for you; but for women with longer manes, maybe a Nicole Kidman side part is the way to go. This cut works well because it will allow you to sway your pony over the shoulder so it stands out. If you feel like sporting a slightly dressier Jay-Lo feel, the slicked-back ponytail will always flaunt that “red-carpet” appeal.

Poker-straight hair is the easiest cut to maintain at home…

The key to keeping poker-straight hair for weeks on end after leaving the chair is all in the homework. Before you hit the blow-dryer, apply a smoothing product, and make sure that you dry your hair as straight as possible by positioning the hot air in a downward path. Also, avoid the easy way out by tilting your head upside down and gusting out hot air every which way but loose. The straighter and silkier you get your hair at this first phase, the better the other stages will perform.

After your hair is dry, you’ll need to smooth it with an ion straightening iron. Now, you SHOULD NOT use it everyday, and when you do use it, make sure that you apply a heat-styling defense cream, beforehand, so that you do not damage to your hair cuticles.

Next up, use a comb to even out the locks as you go when straightening sections of the hair with the iron. Once all your sections are without waves, you can then decide what to do with those loose strands. HINT: don’t forget to give the back of your head and the strands underneath equal attention, as these sections will curl up if not given the same straightening care as the front sections.

Staying away from the frizz….

Celebrities like Gwyneth Paltrow know that just because the poker-straight tresses are lacking waves, it doesn’t make them frizz-free. This means that your new look will require plenty of anti-frizzing product after the shower. Your stylist can help you choose the serum that will work best for your poker-straight look. Just remember–those smooth locks won’t stay exceptionally silky for long if you’re frequently frying them without protection.

How To Keep Hair Organically Straight At Home

One thing to get really pumped up about when fall comes around (and no it’s not the Halloween bash that’s coming up) is that the season brings out the most “good hair days” for all types of wavy manes. The frizz magically goes away, and the chilly air seems to make hair set just right. So, now is the time for gals with naturally wavy hair to go straight.

Now, normally, heat, hair dryers and hair straighteners will get the job done; but over time, straighter locks may dry out after leaving the salon chair. That’s why this week we’re going to throw out some pro-tips on keeping the mane straight at home in the most natural way.

hair photo

The Icy-Water Bathe

Straightening shampoo and conditioner are must-have products for the home, which your pro-stylist can help you find the brand that will work best for your tresses. However, a cold-water bathe should be combined with the product to help keep those locks super straight. So, that means switching the water from hot to cold after shampooing and conditioning; and you should try to apply the final rinse using water temperature that’s as cold as you can tolerate, since the icier the water applied, the less frizzier, shiner and straighter the hair will be.

The Milk-and-Honey Cover

Whipping up a milk-and-honey hair cover at home is easy to do, and it’s another pro-method to straightening the hair. Grab one cup of milk and add one tbsp of honey, remembering that the thicker the milk, the better the mask will perform. Next, just cover the tresses and the scalp, and let the product soak in for about an hour. The mask will rinse naturally, but be sure to use your straightening shampoo and conditioner when washing everything out.

The Hair Band Sleep Over

Remember using hair bands when you were a teenager? Well, sleeping with hair bands is an easy way to get the waves out of the hair. You either can section damp hair into two pig tails, or you can form a ponytail in the back. However, never use rubber bands, instead get a hold of some soft hair bands to bind the hair into small sections, and make sure to keep everything loose to avoid strange waves from forming. Keep the soft bands on while you sleep, and take them out in the morning.

The After-Shower Comb

After taking a shower, skip the heating tools and just comb the hair dry. Thicker hair will call for a wide-tooth comb, so look for large combs that are infused with argan oil to avoid spraining any arm muscles while combing. The oil will also throw out some extra shine after the mane is dry. Wide, flat-wooden brushes will work for gals with thin hair. Just part your hair naturally, and then brush the locks in five-minute intervals, until the whole mane is dry.

Pro Advice For Obtaining A Fuller Mane

Do you wish that you owned fuller, waiver hair instead having to put up with your flimsy, comatose tresses? There’s a whole lot of “how to make your locks thicker” information out there for folks with thin hair to read; so, we thought we’d send some fundamental pro-knowledge to you gals, which can put you on the correct path to achieving the ambitious hair you deserve…

hair photo

Pro tip #1 for thicker hair

So, let’s review; first, and foremost, apply some volumizing rinse products in the shower. But instead of letting the mane air dry naturally or blow drying the hair every which way and up, grab some volumizing spray and a curved brush. Next, part your hair in sections starting from the bottom up, and blow dry only individual parts, using your brush to create some volume. Also, make sure that you saturate each section with the pre-treatment, volumizer before applying the heat.

Pro tip #2 for thicker hair

If a salon blow dry is not your thing, why not try making good use of those old, bedtime hair rollers you stashed away in the closet. Did you forget how those little lifesavers produced amazing salon-thick hair overnight? Remember that diverse-size rollers create different fullness, so you can choose between big, medium or small waves for your final effect. For best results, leave the rollers in overnight, and apply a little hairspray to keep them in place while you sleep.

Pro tip #3 for thicker hair

For super-fast, fuller hair, a girl’s best bet is to invest in some wavy hair extension attachments. These little clip-in marvels can produce a thicker mane just a matter of minutes. Imagine, no more blow drying, no more buying volumizing products and no more messing with curlers. The hair extensions found at pro salons, today, are incredibly subtle and tasteful. Stylists offer them in many different hues and lengths; you can also be sure that none of your friends, nor your date, will be able to guess that your newer, fuller hair is anything else but your own. Be sure to ask your stylist about the best approach to using fuller hair extensions with fine hair.

Pro tip #4 for thicker hair #4

Lighten up the color! Nearly all pro stylists know that highlighting a gal’s mane is the most efficient method for making her hair look fuller in the long run. Furthermore, the peroxide found in highlighting products will swell the hair strands, which means that the locks’ natural thickness will almost double. Blending diverse hair shades does the trick too. Combining hues always adds dimension and texture to the mane, which complementary provides some extra-volume, savoir-faire for women with thin hair.
