Long Hair May Be The Hairstyle for You – Oklahoma City

Long hair has always been a sign of a “fashion attitude” for both women and men. If you are considering letting your hair grow long, it is very important that you know what to expect, otherwise too much time and effort will be invested only to realize, later, that long hair is not for you. There are plenty of things that need to be considered before you change your hair style. You should consult you hairdresser and choose what is best for you. The most important is the shape of your face, but to achieve the perfect hair style you must consider all of advantages and disadvantages. In other words, your new haircut should agree with your personality, lifestyle, career, body shape, texture of your hair, eye color and complexion of your skin. Long hair has many advantages, but, it also has disadvantages, and these are of crucial importance in making the decision.

Two considerations are attractiveness and variety. Long hair definitely stands out as a most attractive hair style, because it forms a line of hair that attracts attention. Long hair that is shining under bright light is always a wonderful sight, isn`t it? The simplest curl can make your hair look irresistibly sexy. One of the biggest advantages of long hair is variety. Depending on the time and situation, you always have a choice of several hair styles for every occasion. Do you have an official party tonight? No problem! Just tell your hairdresser what occasion it is and you can have the best look at the party. With long hair you can have a bright bun in a classical elegant style, and you can`t do that with any other length of hair.

And you can have an elegant braid if you think that will fit you better. But if you don’t want any of this, or you just don`t have enough time, there is always a good solution- a ponytail. With long hair there is nothing to worry about! You have as many choices as you want! But do not forget, everything has disadvantages. Long hair has it, too. Probably the biggest disadvantage is that you have to take care of the long hair. This takes time. Long hair also means old hair. As it gets longer, that means it gets older and requires more care. It is important to use a good quality hair mask and other preparations for this hair type to help ensure the strength, shine and health of all the hair. Do not forget to consult your hairdresser about it! It is important to adjust the length of your hair to the work you do. Because hair that always falls over your eyes may be a big problem. Especially if you work with dangerous materials or any job that involves constant precision work with your hands.

You have to really ask yourself and be sure about having long hair, because it can easily become trouble instead of beauty. If you decide to do it, however, the payoff is simply fantastic.

6 Ways to Maintain Glossy and Smooth Curls – Oklahoma City Hair Stylist

beauty-advices.com

Naturally curly hair looks amazingly beautiful if properly nurtured. Taking care of curly hair can be a nuisance if you do not know how to do it. By simply following a general routine and these simple tips on a regular basis, you can have smooth, silky curls that look great any way you wear them.

1. Keep them Moisturized:

The most common reason behind frizzy curls is that they lack moisture and become dry. This causes the hair to break and causes split ends which give you frizzy hair. Make sure that you use the shampoo that suits your hair type and keeps it clean and fresh without over-drying. By using a shampoo that is unsuitable for your hair type, you drain the natural oils from your scalp making it dry. Ask your hair stylist to guide you in choosing the right shampoo based on your hair condition.

2. Deep Conditioning Helps:

We all use a conditioner after washing our hair, but for curly hair, you need to deeply moisturize your hair at least once a week. The way to do this is to apply conditioner after washing your hair and let it stay for 30 minutes so that it can nourish and moisturize the hair shaft completely. This treatment gives you shiny lock for the entire week.

3. Use the Right Products:

In order to keep your curls in the best shape, it is important to use the right hair products. A product that suits your friend might not suit you, even though you both have curly hair. The best way to pick a good product is by asking your hair stylist. He or she can guide on which product to use, how to use it and when it is time to try a new one.

4. Get Hot Oil Treatments:

Arrange a hot oil treatment with your stylist every month so that your hair can rejuvenate itself. A hot oil treatment allows maximum minerals to penetrate your hair, thus returning their natural shine and luster. You can do this at home too, but it’s not as relaxing as the treatment you might get at the spa.

5. Keep Trimming:

One of the best ways to make sure that you curls are healthy is to get them trimmed on a regular basis. Ask your stylist to trim the ends carefully to get rid of the split ends. Make an appointment with your hair stylist every month to ensure that you hair stays healthy. This will also help with the hair growth as trimming reduces breakage and boosts growth.

6. Use Leave-in Conditioners:

As curly hair gets dry and becomes frizzy, it is a good idea to buy a leave-in conditioner that makes your curls smooth and soft for the whole day. Choose a good leave in conditioner that has the right balance for your hair so that it neither makes them greasy nor does it make them dry. Do not apply the leave-in conditioner to the scalp as it can make your hair appear greasy.

Sexy, Glamorous Curly Hair Styles For 2010

2010 is promising to be a very interesting year for hair styles. It’s like Independence Day run amuck. Based on what we have seen so far from last quarter of 2009 and coming into January this year, hair stylist predict that curls will still remain a style favorite.

The trend with curls for 2010 is not the tight, stiff curls, but soft, gentle rolls of hair cascading down a woman’s back. It’s going to a wonderful year of sexy, glamorous curly hair styles.

For spring, many stylist predict the curly messy hairdos up in a gentle bun with a bit of hair framing the face. The interesting part of this trend is that it is so easy to do it on your own. Of course, nothing beats the professional touch for nights out on the town. This is because it isn’t just a simple case of “bun-on-the-run” but a more controlled effect with some degree of controlled movement and texture.

This brings us to the management of curly hair which is very important to stay in touch with fashion today. Having curly hair always makes a statement. It draws people’s attention. This can work for or against you because curls need more time and attention. The curly hair trends for 2010 needs definition. In other words, you need to get your curly locks under control. If you allow it to run wild without definition, that’s exactly the opposite of the 2010 look.

To do this, ask your stylist to slightly layer your hair to keep the weight even. The best lengths for 2010’s fashion look for curly hair would still be the medium to long hair. You can add some straight bangs to your look to put some contrast and style. Avoid curly bangs though because it just is too reminiscent of a young baby girl look, which is not a 2010 fashion statement.
