Big, bouncy, high volume hair is in these days and the best thing is that it is not as difficult to achieve as you might think. The important step is figuring out which style will suit your face and personality and the rest can be easily achieved. Any stylist can create the perfect look for you as long as you know what you want. Here are some simple, yet extremely stylish high volume hairdos.
Side Swept Curls: There is nothing more stylish than side swept curls, but if you do not have volume and bounce in your hair it can appear rather dull and mediocre. The best way to get a cool cascading effect is using large rollers. Your hair is divided into sections and then the front sections are rolled away from the face. However, the key is to let the curls set first and then brush them to soften them up, adding extra bounce and shine at the same time. If you have heavy hair and you think that the look is to voluminous for you, simply sweep one side back and hold the curls with a jeweled accessory.
Voluminous Bun with Curls: Volume is not something you can only attain with open hair – it can easily be done for an up-do. For a really big, bouncy bun, you need a lot of curls and volume at the crown. The first step is getting a high volume blow dry. Make sure that your stylist uses volumizing hair products when preparing your hair for a blow dry. After the blow dry, use large hot rollers in your hair and allow it time to set. After opening up the rollers, you need to add some bounce by back combing the roots. Pull back all your hair into a high ponytail, but make sure that it is not too tight. Create loops using sections of hair from the ponytail and pin it down.
Bouncy Blow Out: If you want to go for a sleek look, you can still do it with a straight voluminous outward blow dry. It looks sophisticated and gives your hair the added bounce at the same time. You’ll need to apply a booster to your hair before you get the blow dry. Ask your hairstylist for the kind of product that works best for achieving the perfect blowout with volume. As with all voluminous hairstyles, you’ll need big Velcro roller to get the desired volume. Give the rollers enough time to set and then you can brush your hair for shine and boost.
Angled Bob with Bounce: When you have a short haircut like a bob, you can still make it look glamorous by adding volume to it. All you need a good round brush and some root booster and you are good to go. Make sure that you remember to focus on the roots and then move down as it will give more volume to your hair. Moreover, your hair will remain straight and sleek at the ends so you’ll achieve the perfect look without your hair looking bulky.
